News from Guidance
The NAHS guidance department would like to invite all parents to attend our first ever Coffee with Counselors on Thursday, September 18 at 9 am in the media center. Our topic is How to Prevent Bullying in the High School. Some of our FBLA students will present Project TAB, a program they have presented to several schools in our community. Please let the guidance office know if you plan to come so we can plan for refreshments.
The PSAT will be given to all juniors free of charge on October 15th. Sophomores will also be allowed to take the test on October 15 free of charge but are required to sign up in the guidance office September 15th through 18th. The PSAT is the practice test for the SAT. The National Merit Scholarship is based on your junior year score. The PSAT is an important tool in planning your future.
North Augusta High School is in the process of jump starting a robotics program at our school to encourage students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Students will design, build, and program robots to compete with other high schools as a part of FIRST—a national robotics organization. To be successful with this endeavor, we are in need of community mentors that have experience in robotics, engineering, computer programming, and/or basic mechanical skills to assist our students. We are looking for volunteers who are committed to work with students once or twice a week after the workday from 6-8 pm. Building sessions will start after our program kickoff meeting on September 16th being held at 6:30PM in the Media Center. Competition will take place mid-January. Potential mentors should call the school and leave a message for Ms. Jane Monroe at extension 178 or contact her via email at email@example.com.
|SchoolFusion Parent Accounts|
A SchoolFusion Parent Account allows parents to view all of their children’s classroom information in one web location. Parents can check assignments, view important deadlines on FusionPage calendars, follow their children's sports calendars, school events and much more! Once parents have created an account email notifications will be sent when new announcements and assignments are added. Only parents/guardians of students enrolled in Aiken County Public School District are allowed to register.
To create a parent account, you will need the student id# for each student and birthdate. The birthdate should be keyed in with no leading zero or dashes.
